Murmur returns for its fourth instalment. For the uninitiated Murmur is an evening of readings from authors, it is free to attend and wraps up by about 9pm. Come down for words aplenty in exciting formations, all inclusive and about the most hi-grade entertainment happening in town on a Sunday evening. 


​​HERA LINDSAY BIRD is a poet from Wellington, New Zealand. Her debut collection, Hera Lindsay Bird, was published in July 2016 by Victoria University Press and in November 2017 by Penguin. Pamper Me To Hell & Back, a chapbook, was published by the Poetry Society in 2018. She won the Jessie McKay Best First Book Award in 2017, The Sarah Broom Poetry Prize in 2017 and was an Arts Foundation New Generation Laureate in 2017.

CRISPIN BEST’s debut pamphlet was published by Faber & Faber in 2016 in their New Poets program. He edits For Every Year, an online project aiming to collect a piece of art or writing commemorating every year since 1400. His writing has appeared in The Best British Poetry 2015 (Salt), the Quietus, Dazed & Confused, Poems in Which, and clinic. He has performed his poetry to audiences in New York, Chicago, Berlin, Melbourne, Edinburgh, and at the Serpentine Gallery. He lives in London and at

CALUM GARDNER is a poet, critic, editor of Zarf poetry magazine and itinerant poetry teacher from Glasgow currently living in Leeds. Their poetry can be found in 3:AM, Adjacent Pineapple, amberflora, etc., and their pamphlet “the bodies trilogy” is available from vesselwork distribution.
