Bank Holiday
Opening Hours

There are some crazy weekends coming up, in which you can take three days holiday and can have eleven days off work, WTF?!! Some kind of madness, but things never stop at Common.
Over the next few weeks normal opening hours are in operation, apart from Easter Sunday 24th April and Sunday May 1st, when we are open ’til 1am. To make it even more fun we have special guest DJs for these dates. Hot Milk on Easter Sunday and the glorious return of Eclair Fifi (Lucky Me) on May Day bank holiday Sunday. Both are free events. Come down.
We are also involved with the ‘Northern Quarter Street Party’ taking place on Friday 29th April. Come along to our outdoor bar, with a BBQ, plenty of Pimms and live artwork from Fon / The Pern.

Stop Making Sense
Thursdays are the new Saturdays

It’s been bubbling away in the background for years, but now the Stop Making Sense DJs are here to make their mark. Hosting the weekly shindig at Common, they proclaim that ‘Thursdays are the new Saturday’, we can confirm they are both ‘super dope’ and indeed ‘out of sight’.
Stop Making Sense have recently launched their new blog / site, we asked them to say a few words about themselves, and here is what they said : “WOW ANOTHER MUSIC BLOG. Us SMS boys are throwing out more inter-crap on the world wide web and we got the balls to plug Will Smith even though he’s not getting many shout outs on Pitchfork right now. As well as your SMS residents there’s more mind junk from our good friends SAVWO and Elliott Mess.
You can also download all our SMS mixes in new super-lo-fi MP3-D hand printed cassette format. These downloads will work on your apple i-cassette player. If you have them use your 3-D glasses and surround sound smello-vision for your portable mp3 walkman”
Get down.
Electric Elephant Easter Riot
Ten Tenners Competition

Following on from the SMS article above, we are proud to announce a special competition. We are hosting the pre pre party for the Electric Elephant Easter Riot, alongside the Stop Making Sense DJs and Raised By Wolves.
This takes place on Thursday 21st April and the main event happens at Legends with Danny Krivit, Toddla T, Daniele Baldelli, Unabombers, Illum Sphere & Jonny Dub, Mark Webster, That Amazing Thing!
Because we are hosting the pre warm up party the lovely chaps at Electric Elephant are giving away ten places at £10, (the ten tenners – get it!?!) normal price is £17.50, what a bargain. It’s a first come first served vibe, the first 10 people to email ask@electriks.co.uk with “Common Guestlist” in the subject line will get into Legends for an amazing £10! Simple.
