You

Believe it or not, it’s been two years since Rob Bailey crammed an entire encyclopaedia into our little bar with ‘Hello World’.
If you’ve been following his work since then you’ll have seen 40 animated road movies, 6000 paper insects, a 6 metre model of a journey from the moon and back, a paper city, a plastic volcano…. the man’s been busy. You might even have seen him interviewed on TV, but despite the heady heights of Gorden Burns and the North West Tonight news team, as a true prodigal son of Common, he’ll never be too Hollywood to come back and fill our walls with his signiture stylings. Never one to give himself an easy task this time he’s decided to tackle the human condition itself, in full colour! in his new show ‘YOU’.
Join him on a journey you all should be familiar with, it’s a show about you, and everyone you know, from birth to death and everything before, after and in between. You might even discover the meaning of life amongst the walls and archways of our humble bar.
All new work will be on display and for sale throughout February, March and April. The grand opening is coinciding with the unveiling of Commons little sister, ‘The Kestrel Suite’. To which Rob also happened to design the logo for, maybe we’ve been seeing too much of each other recently.
‘You’ opens on the 28th January 2010 in Common, and is sure to be one not to miss, we’d like to see you there and we hope you’d like to see ‘You’ there too.
