Le Boulevard de Banni

Le Boulevard de Banni, a seemingly ordinary looking street, is in fact host to an array of extraordinary characters – all with their own tale to tell. An intriguing Launderer, who makes a mysterious daily pilgrimage to the foothills of Monte Tamaro; a Neapolitan woman of undeterminable years who works by candlelight to hide a deadly secret; the proprietor of Das Krankenhaus, who it is claimed can cure all ills.
This is an idea that has developed following Zoe & Roy’s previous exhibition “The Master of Complications”, a body of work which is also available as a limited edition book.
It’s the fourth time Roy and Zoë have collaborated on an exhibition, though it is the first time they have taken on a project as big as this. Roy is a Liverpool based artist/graphic designer who has previously exhibited his drawings, photographs and abstract paintings in various galleries around the UK. Zoë is a photographer based in Levenshulme, Manchester who only began exhibiting her work last year.
This entirely monochrome exhibition will include large scale paintings and illustrations, as well as smaller photographs, illustrations and sketches that will be for sale either as original artwork or limited edition prints.
