Facial Geography & The Bee Keepers

An Exhibition by Adam Mead
Thursday 6th October 2011 - 29th February 2012

Adam Mead is a Manchester based visual artist. He and his camera have been gate crashing weird and wonderful British conventions, sp

ending too much time staring at people’s faces and collaborating with other Manchester artists. He has exhibited in London and the Northwest.

The work shown at Common is a culmination of two projects:

The Bee Keepers, an anthropological view of a world where Honey is the currency and all life and death revolves around the Queen.

Facial Geography, an exercise in portraiture and still life, explores the notion of surface. We can never be rid of our face, we take it with us every we go, always leaving ourselves open to the critical look of another.

All the work will be for sale, so come and grab your self a piece of Adam Mead.
