Do Not Bend

Incorporating a variety of artists from the distant corners of the globe, the owners of Common and press monkey, Duncan Sime, vested it upon themselves to orchestrate a paste-up exhibition.
Through the wonders of Myspace, Flickr and email we asked, begged and borrowed from a multitude of paste up artists. From as far a field as Oklahoma (no not the shop round the corner) bits of paper were posted through our letterbox, and after six weeks we had a wondrous collection.
Our big wall was given up to the ‘European Animal’ collective from Newcastle, and the rest of the work was arranged and pasted-up with our own fair hands. Kids in dinosaur suits, robot lollipop men, drunk pirates and all sorts of oddities now grace our walls from artists such as John Casey, Luc Hudson, The Amazing Shape, Tramp Collective, Superdead and Lints One.
Common has yet again been a blank canvas for a one-off exhibition; ‘do not bend’ came through our letterbox and ended up on our walls for the world to see.
