22nd February 2012
Greetings
Badger lovers

We’ve had a busy fortnight in the depths of Edge Street, giving the walls and seating a spruce up, trim, wax and polish. Apologies for being closed on Monday and Tuesday day. It’s exhibition time soon, so expect a flurry of activity as we launch two exhibitions in the next few weeks.
All is swell. We hope you enjoyed your fill of free pancakes last night, maybe this made up for us being closed during the day. I will be taking a small break from writing the next two newsletters, read on for more information.
With thanks
W. Badger
Common Website
Hacked!

We have had some recent online technical issues with a pair of egghead pranksters. Our Common website was hacked last week, by some sort of cult.
Clandestine followers of the ‘Church Of the Mystic Egg’ are laying claim to the incident, further investigations enlighten us that it is the workings of two obsessive artists, who are now threatening to daub our walls with ‘eggy mess’ in the next couple of weeks.
The now unmasked artists, SAVWO and Steve Hockett will be displaying their cultish findings on Thursday 8th March. Not much can be can done as the influence of the Church is strong, the power of the egg compels you.
You will have to pay us a visit to find out the results.
Teacake Special
Next week’s newsletter

On Tuesday 28th February we will be handing over our newsletter to a couple of our favourite designers, Graham Sykes and Robert Walmsley, also know as Teacake Design.
We have had the pleasure of working with these two fine gentlemen over the past few years. Including branding for our sister bar, Port Street Beer House, a fanzine collaboration with Pull Yourself Together and all sorts of lovely posters and design work along the way.
I’m sure you will learn a lot more about them in next week’s newsletter special. The photography exhibition will be a first for us, as they take over BOTH of our venues, a challenge and a half! If anyone can perform such a task, it will be Teacake Design.
