Week beginning 3 March 2014
When searching hi and low across the nation for someone, anyone that could begin to replace Common Knowledge quizmasters Chris Higson and John Ruane after they bid us a fond farewell last year we came across Noel and Miriam and with their dry wit and left-field humour we knew we’d found the perfect fit.
Miriam and Noel had been running Noel’s Horse Party quiz at The Bay Horse for the past eighteen months and are renowned for their relaxed, good-natured ethos alongside head-scratching trivia. Very much fans of Common Knowledge the classic format will stay the same; interactive final rounds, music, picture and bizarre trivia rounds. Aiming to carry on the great legacy of the quiz and add their unique top quality prizes into the mix (cult DVD box-sets, rare second-hand books and comics), they bring with them some of their famous rounds; ‘Who Said It? Batman or George W. Bush?’ and brilliant film re-enactments. – 7.30pm till 11pm / free
Stop Making Sense
